AWE Hosts 3rd Annual
Hearts for Art Fundraiser

Artists Working in Education, Inc. holds its 3rd annual Hearts for Art Valentine Celebration and Silent Auction fundraiser on Monday, February 13 to benefit arts programming for Milwaukee youth. The event will be held at Bucketworks, 1319 N. Martin Luther King Drive in Milwaukee from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Two well-known professional artists Sally Duback and Barbara Manger will help guests create their own handmade valentines. Barbara and Sally are two of AWE's founding members. Both are art educators and respected artists whose work can be found in many private and corporate collections.

Besides gift certificates to the major arts groups and restaurants, a wide array of unique items will be available to silent auction bidders, such as an AWE Truck Studio visit with a professional artist, art created by children in AWE programs, original work by local professional artists, and a private tour of the Milwaukee Riverwalk sculptures with author and art educator Diane Buck.

Admission payable at the door is $20 and includes all valentine supplies, a complimentary glass of wine, delicious appetizers and desserts and live music.

Artists Working in Education, Inc., founded in 1998, is a non profit organization whose mission is to provide youth in the Milwaukee area with arts enrichment programs to enhance human potential, advance learning and cultivate community. Its two main initiatives are the School Studio, an artist-in-residence program designed to advance learning through the arts; and the Truck Studio, an outreach program providing free art experiences for children in inner city parks and neighborhood centers during the summer months.
