About the Truck Studio

Truck Studio can also be hired to activate other public and private events. Learn more about the Creative Services we offer here.
SUMMER TRUCK STUDIO
In the summer months, AWE partners with Milwaukee County Parks and Milwaukee Recreation to offer hands-on art activities and take-home art kits in support of Milwaukee Recreation’s summer meals program.
AWE artists activate public spaces in parks and playgrounds across the city each day, as well as host a series of evening visits to targeted community gatherings.
Youth can make and take home projects ranging from sculpture and painting to mixed media and collage, presented by trained teaching artists who guide the children in their making, helping them turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
FALL, winter & SPRING TRUCK STUDIO
During spring, winter and fall, AWE partners with other organizations like Milwaukee Public Library and Milwaukee Recreation’s Twilight Centers to offer free, drop-in out-of-school-time art activities across the city led by our teaching artists.
These projects engage youth in drawing, painting, sculpting, and more while emphasizing their identity, culture, creativity, and self-expression.
